Random Gameboy Game Genie Codes

I have decided not to include most of the Galoob codes because these are just a sampling of some random stuff I had.

Though you can change them a bit like theses ones for Castlevania Adventure

0X5-5CF-C42 -Start with X Energy Bars

0X9-B3F-A26 -Start with X:15 time in Stage 1

Replace X with whatever you want.

Those codes aside, I only decided to post a few that I had laying around.

——-Castlevania Adventure (Gameboy)——-

134-6FD-CA0  -Stuff falls through the ground, includes enemies and items.

XXC-EF8-075  -Changes the T in “Rest” on the screen before the stage starts.

Put in different values for XX for different results

232-15C-751  -Turn on and off to pause the game

F70-09B-33B  -A line appears above Christopher’s head sometimes

C70-09A-33B  -Lines appear in the background

FF9-B3F-A26  -Crazy Timer

410-7ED-CB9  -Whip Doesn’t Work

123-45D-AD2  -Christopher jumps really high

C01-078-9AE  -Something invisible and deadly near the start! Jump to the right side of a tree and you will die.

401-078-9AE  -Invisible Deadly Thing is now harmless wood instead.

601-078-9AE  -Now the IDT is just a black brick like thing.

——-Megaman Dr Wily’s Revenge (Gameboy)——-

00B-94F-808

00B-EAF-808  -Die with on hit/Perfectionist Mode

134-6FD-CA0  -Strange Enemies

4CD-B2B-BAD  -Health Looks Slightly Different

6BC-429-237  -Number of dots remaining doesn’t display on password screen

013-C5C-BC6  -Iceman and Cutman Stages Unplayable

——-Super Mario Land (Gameboy)——-

135-86D-430  -No Enemies or Items

345-7ED-419  -Weird Enemies/Items

DEF-65C-9AB  -Weird Score

089-B3B-4CA  -Cruise Mode/Mario Can’t Stop!

246-96D-433  -Castlevania Stop Watch Mode. Only Mario can move!

——-Tetris (Gameboy)——-

000-63D-6E9

3E0-64D-5D0

XX0-65D-087    Only XX piece falls

00-1B Normal Pieces, you will probably find these codes in other places

1C-1F Glitchy Pieces

These Glitchy pieces are really strange. It’s hard to tell how large they are and they look like text from the game.

Some Keyblades You Might Not Know About

Many have heard about these, but I can’t think of anywhere that has gathered them all together before. These are not available through normal means though, and have been found hidden in the games code.

———————Kingdom Hearts———————

Big Hong Keyblade and Small Hong Keyblade: Two odd colorless keyblades. They make strange noises when you use them.

———————Kingdom Hearts II———————

Edge of Ultima and Detection Saber: These Keyblades have a very glitched appearance and vaguely resemble the Ultima Weapon.

Fake: This keyblade is named fake, but resembles the Kingdom Key.

Antiform Dummy: A shapeless keyblade that is used by Anti-Sora.

———————Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days———————

Another Midnight Roar: A nameless recolor of Midnight Roar who’s graphic is unused in the game.

Wind Maker: An unimplemented Keyblade that later became Leviathan.

Megaman X Glitches

When it comes to who discovered what glitch, I don’t know. Some of these I found in old notes and such, so I don’t take credit for discovering these, but I was able to find videos made by people who have also done these glitches, so I might included them at the bottom.

IMPORTANT: Spoilers are contained below.

Megaman X (Snes)
-Slope Jump: Jumping on a slope will make you jump slightly higher. More famous in Megaman X 2.

-Alternate Boomer Kuwanger Life Up: At the part where you can use the Boomerang Cutter to get the life up, You can also use a charged Shotgun Ice platform.

-Confused Vile: While fighting Ride-Armored Vile, turn away and fire the Storm Tornado. If your lucky, he will run into it and flip in the opposite direction.

-Skip being Crushed in tower Elevator: If you get hit by on of the flying robots, you can sometimes clip though the spike platforms.

-Ladder Trick: You can slide into the floor using a charged Shotgun Ice. Just climb onto a ladder and shoot it to the side. It will push you into the floor a bit. If you do it too much, you could get stuck though.

-Enter a boss door backwards: Stand a bit back from the boss door and turn to face it. Charge up the Shotgun Ice and make a sliding platform. Jump on the
platform’s edge near the boss door and make sure your sticking out a bit towards the door, but also facing away from it (This could take some practice).
If done correctly, you will slide into the door backwards.

-Vanishing Legs: Enter a code like this…
4768 Chill Penguin
7858 Beaten without
3871 Leg Upgrade
Any code without the legs upgrade and Chill pengiuin will do. Just beat the game and at the ending where X is supposed to dash, His legs will vanish.

-Scene Skip: In the first Sigma Stage, make your way through until just before you climb up to the cutscene outside of the boss door. Grab the ladder
and climb until your almost at the top. Hold Left and let go of the ladder so that you will slide on the bit of floor, then jump to the wall without
touching the floor. Now charge up the Shotgun Ice and ride it through the door. You could also climb up the wall and dash jump to the other side of the room.

-Boomerang Glitch: Use the Boomerang Cutter on an item like the life up in the Tower stage, and go downwards as fast as you can to glitch the sprites up.

-Boomer Kuwanger Scroll Glitch: In the Tower Stage, go to the elevator that leads to a red room. When it stops, walk forward until the screen starts to
scroll and quickly dash jump back into the room, on the spikes above the doorway. If you climb High enough, you will get stuck. You can use a charged
up S. Ice to escape.

-Subtank Glitch: Have three of the four subtanks. Fill them up so that two are full and one is almost full. Switch to a different weapon and use some
of it’s energy. defeat some enemies until a large weapon energy drops. Jump on it, but just before it’s collected pause the screen and switch to the
buster. if done correctly, the game will get confused and you will have a glitchy fourth subtank. This reminds me of another subtank I’ve seen…

-Flame Mammoth Secret World: In the beginning of the level there are Scrap Utuboros falling onto conveyor belts that you can climb on. Jump on one, then
jump into the hole they are falling out of and climb up to the ceiling. If you go right, you can see a messed up sub tank in an area with a glitchy background (if you haven’t picked it up yet).
You can continue into this glitchy place if you dash jump across the pit to a platform. The enemies in this area are invisible.

-Vile Attacks Early Glitch: This guy pulls it off better than I can describe it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4JVJphmp5Q&list=PLC62D2719B216FC89&index=11&feature=plpp_video

-Flame Mammoth Secret World 2: Later on in the stage there are crushers near convayor belts. If your really good or lucky at dash jumping, you can make it into the hole from one of the crushers
and explore from there.

-Glitch Codes: These codes have some curios effects:
7443
2241
1221

5778
8422
3577

1868
7358
7824

2868
5248
7884

1864
5258
3824

7443
3241
3264

2226
5352
8868
-Glitch Code effects: If you just enter the code, you will start on the intro stage and X will have no health and can’t move. If you wait until the title
screen fades out but before the demo, X’s health will be lower than normal. If you wait for the demo to play, he will have all weapons on the first stage!
In the demo you can do a few different things with the weapons. If you use the Storm Tornado on the Beecopter, it will crash early and you will get stuck.
If you have a subweapon out when Vile appears, you will turn blue. If you have a special weapon out when you get trapped, Zero will glitch up the Energy bar.

Password Generator: http://www.tailsarchive.net/re/megaman/x1/gen/

Using the Password Generator, you can create all sorts of odd codes that would normally be impossible in the normal game such as collecting items before you have the required power ups.

There were two glitches that I did not include because they were fixed in earlier versions of the game, and you can see them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNrssqBvX-Q

Some games I think the Grumps should play

I recently reblogged a post that contained some games I think would be interesting to send to the grumps, but here are some more:

1: Dokopon Kingdom (PS2)
Crazy characters, strange scenarios. and other ridiculous things make this a great Grump game. Will they fight each other for the most towns, or team up and beat the CPU players? Anything can happen!
This is the most Grumptastic sorta Vs game I can think of.

2: Wario Ware
It’s fast and crazy! What else? I’m surprised they haven’t yet actually.

3: One Piece: Unlimited adventure (Wii)
The multiplayer mechanic for this game is surprisingly fun! Play with several weak characters, or a few strong ones.
I’m not sure if the story mode is grumptastic, but this game is still really fun to play, and the character level up system is good.

4: Soul Calibur 2
The story mode is filled with all sorts of unique stuff for a fighting game, including missions like exploding if you hit the ground.

The Bad

5: Itchy and Scratchy (Snes)
This game is frustratingly hard for many reasons, and I think it’s the unholy combo of several things that does it. A time limit and the main enemy has hit and run tactics, often dissapearing for ages while your time is running out just to appear out of nowhere to assasinate you with that shiny new bazooka he obtained somewhere offscreen. Then when you finally get to a boss, the game changes to make something once useless important, so you have to grind the ones you didn’t get off small enemies during the boss. Then there is one boss, that has the most infuriating, almost undodgeable attack of making piles of bricks fall on you, while you try to wittle down it’s HP by microscopic amounts. I think it’s about time this monster of a game got some screen time with people who review games.
